Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Resources Design EIT/Coordinator to support hydraulic modeling for municipal projects. You’ll work under project engineers on 1D/2D analyses, collect field data, and prepare design calculations and reports for flood control and restoration efforts.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (Bachelor’s, with Master’s preferred) and experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS, plus strong communication skills. Full-time on-site in Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and active participation.

Responsibilities

• Work under project engineers on hydraulic modeling and design engineering for water resource projects.
• Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater systems modeling, data collection and presentations.
• Contribute to flood control, river design, dike and levee projects and restoration work.
• Produce design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water resources studies.
• Develop 1D/2D hydraulic analysis and model development.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and field/desktop data collection.
• Create visual aids for client and stakeholder presentations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
