Job summary

Halff, based in Richardson, TX, is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern – Water Resources to assist in drainage and stormwater analysis and design. You will support water resources planning, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and related engineering tasks under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.

The internship runs from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, full-time at 40 hours per week. The position is paid hourly and housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Experience with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Assist with drainage and stormwater analysis and design.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects.
