Job summary

Halff is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern for our Water Resources team in Fort Worth, TX. You will help with drainage and stormwater analysis, hydrology modeling, and related design tasks during a summer internship from June 7 to August 13, 2027.

The role offers hourly pay, full-time hours, and exposure to projects across water resources planning, GIS-enabled approaches, and collaboration with surveyors, architects, and contractors. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's) with ABET accreditation.
• Experience with HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and Open Roads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drainage and stormwater analysis and design.
• Support water resources planning and hydrology/hydraulic modeling tasks.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water resources projects.
• Assist with CAD drafting and calculations.
• Coordinate with team members, surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Help prepare permit applications and regulatory documents.
