Job summary

MBK Engineers in Sacramento, CA is seeking a CAD Technician/Drafter to assist with design for flood control and water conveyance projects in the California Central Valley. The role involves designing facilities such as levees and channels, performing routine engineering calculations, and helping prepare construction documents and exhibits.

You will work both independently and in a team, with emphasis on accuracy, detail, and adherence to state and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in engineering, surveying or construction management.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Making routine engineering calculations.
• Design of facilities, including levees, channels, in-stream and floodplain restoration features.
• Assisting with preparation of construction documents and exhibits.
• Assisting in the preparation of written and verbal presentations.
• Inspecting the maintenance of levees, channels, floodways and control structures.
