Job summary

Craftwater is seeking a Senior Civil Water Resources Engineer to lead design projects in California. The role requires a CA PE license, 7+ years in water resources, and strong skills in hydrology, hydraulics, and creating construction documents.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and familiarity with MicroStation is preferred. The candidate will mentor junior engineers, develop proposals, and ensure projects meet quality and budget expectations while delivering actionable solutions for water

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in civil water resources design.
California PE license (multi-state licensure a plus).
Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental/civil engineering, hydrology or related field.
Experience developing construction documents (PS&E) for water resources projects.
Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling; stormwater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop full civil/water resource design projects from concept to construction bid.
Mentor project engineer-level staff.
Assist PM to keep projects on track and plan upcoming tasks.
Prepare proposals and project scope write-ups for new pursuits.
Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D (MicroStation a plus) to create design documents.
Perform detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
