Position Description

MBK Engineers is seeking a motivated individual to join the firm. The primary duties of this position consist of:

• Consulting, design, construction management, and project/program management of flood control improvement and maintenance projects for clients in the Central Valley regions;
• Developing strong analytical skills and growing knowledge of California flood control systems, reclamation district clients, and relevant policy and legislation;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D software to prepare project designs (plans, specifications, technical memos, cost estimates), performing engineering studies, preparing construction documents and engineering calculations, and providing client support for water resources infrastructure, i.e., levees, interior drainage systems, water supply systems and pipelines;
• Developing and assisting clients to comply with changing flood control operations and maintenance standards, in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary team;
• Preparing detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients; representing MBK and clients on multiple levels.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil, agricultural, environmental, or water resources engineering, hydrology, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields. California Professional Engineer registration is required. Prior experience with multi-faceted teams, public speaking, fieldwork and flood control in California are desirable.

The annual salary for this position depends on experience: the range is: $101,920 to $166,400
