Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Water team, focusing on sanitary, storm, and watermain design for diverse municipal projects. You will manage multiple tasks, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to open-cut, rehabilitation, or trenchless works.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in civil or environmental engineering, at least five years’ experience, and a PE license. The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years of related work experience.
• PE licensure required for practice.

Responsibilities

• Design sanitary, storm and watermain projects and related site plans.
• Prepare and review design calculations, specs and reports.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and clients/sub-consultants.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements and regulations.
• Prepare project documents, presentations and communications for deliverables.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to align design intent.
• Prepare construction documents including specs, plans and schedules.
• Assist in cost estimating under guidance of senior staff.
• Support senior staff with site visits and inspection reports.
