Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Water Team in Blacksburg, VA or Richmond, VA. You will support the design and delivery of critical water infrastructure projects that help communities thrive and gain hands-on experience from day one.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; no experience is required, internships preferred. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office is expected; EIT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• No experience required; internships and relevant coursework preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation) and Microsoft Office.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for water/wastewater systems.
• Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and improvement of water/wastewater infrastructure systems.
