Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Delivery Leader for the North Carolina area to lead the development and growth of HDR's Water Business Group. You will partner with Area leadership to expand services across drinking water, wastewater, recycled water and stormwater markets.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in consulting engineering delivery, strong leadership, and PMP certification. Travel within NC/SC is required as part of regional project engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in delivering consulting engineering services.
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
• PMP certification is preferred; local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project management skills in coordination with the Professional Services Leader.
• Provide project delivery oversight for scope, schedule, budget, and staffing.
• Participate in Project Reviews.
• Coordinate staff assignments across projects.
• Manage workshare between BGs and Areas.
• Streamline Area project management processes and remove barriers to execution.
• Serve as a cross BGX champion.
• Mentor staff across the NC Area.
• Engage with professional organizations.
• Understand MOA responsibilities.
• Serve as Project Manager for key projects with strategic clients.
• Develop recruiting strategies with leadership.
