Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Delivery Leader in the North Carolina Area to drive growth of the Water Business Group. The role requires leading project delivery across drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater markets, while aligning with national leadership to expand services and research.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of delivery experience, relevant registrations, and strong collaboration skills to guide staff and strategic clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 10 years delivering consulting engineering services.
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required by role.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide project delivery oversight related to scope, schedule, budget, and staffing.
• Be responsible for project management skills development with the Professional Services Leader.
• Participate in Project Reviews.
• Coordinate with Market Sector Leaders to assign staff to projects.
• Manage workshare between BGX and Areas.
• Develop ways to streamline Area project management processes.
• Serve as a cross BGX champion and mentor staff across the NC Area.
• Coordinate strategy and engagement in professional organizations.
• Maintain MOA responsibilities.
• Serve as a Project Manager for key projects with strategic clients.
• Help develop recruiting strategy with the Business Group Manager and Market Sector Leads.
