Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior Water/Wastewater Delivery Leader for the North Carolina Area to drive growth and project delivery across drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater markets. You will align local and national leadership, mentor staff, and collaborate with Market Sector Leaders to expand HDR’s services.

Primary location is in North Carolina with travel in the region; you will report to the Area WBG Manager and work with various stakeholders to set vision, strategy, and delivery excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 10 years experience
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Good leadership and organizational skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for project management skills development, in conjunction with the Professional Services Leader.
• Provide project delivery oversight related to scope, schedule, budget, and project staffing.
• Participate in Project Reviews.
• Coordinate with Market Sector Leaders to help assign staff to projects.
• Manage workshare between other business groups and Areas.
• Assist in the development of ways to streamline Area project management processes (remove barriers to execution).
• Serve as a cross business group (BGX) champion.
• Serve as a mentor for the development of skills for staff across the NC Area.
• Coordinate a strategy and engagement in professional organizations.
• Have Matrix of Authority (MOA) responsibilities.
• Serve as a Project Manager for key projects with strategic clients.
• Partner with the Business Group Manager and Market Sector Leads to develop a recruiting strategy and help implement.
