Job summary

The City of New Orleans is seeking a detail-oriented administrator to handle water program inquiries, evaluate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate field work with internal crews and contractors.

Responsibilities include responding to customer questions about AMI, Backflow Prevention, and Lead Service Line Replacement programs, ensuring a positive customer experience and clear communication throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of utility customer service experience in a public works area such as electricity, gas, cable, phone, water service utility or closely related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for 4 years of required experience.
• An Associate’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to, evaluate, identify root causes, and resolve service inquiries related to AMI, Backflow Prevention, Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR), and related SWBNO field work.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries; coordinate outreach efforts and ensure a positive customer experience.
