Job summary

The City of New Orleans' Sewerage & Water Board seeks a lead level administrative professional to support its Water Program Division. The role involves field and supervisory tasks, responding to customer inquiries about AMI, Backflow, and the Lead Service Line Replacement program while coordinating outreach.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Seven years of utility customer service experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of experience; Associate’s degree may substitute for 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to, evaluate, identify root cause, and resolve service inquiries for water programs.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for AMI, Backflow, LSLR, and other field program inquiries.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Work with internal crews or contractors on capital works.
  • Communicate with customers and address concerns and questions about programs.
