City of Las Cruces is seeking a dedicated professional to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot potable water production equipment and the Griggs Walnut Water Treatment Plant. You will monitor pumps, valves, chemical systems, and SCADA, conduct daily rounds, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role involves outdoors work, safety training, and occasional emergency standby duties, with opportunities to engage with community stakeholders during tours and public inquiries.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in Water Technology or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes, SCADA, and safety regulations.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot water systems and equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain potable water production equipment and treatment plants.
• Conduct daily rounds, record data, and ensure compliance with regs and audits.
• Respond to customer issues and assist with SCADA data retrieval and reporting.
• Perform preventive maintenance on valves, pumps, and chemical systems.
• Provide tours and training related to water production operations.
