Job summary

ERDA seeks a Water Plant Operator to ensure a reliable water supply through daily plant operations and monitoring. The role includes handling SCADA controls, collecting samples, and maintaining regulatory records.

Responsibilities include supervising basic equipment, coordinating with other departments, and responding promptly to shift calls. Must meet licensing timelines and safety requirements for lab testing and operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, or 6 months related experience or equivalent.
• D.E.Q. Class D Water License within 6 months and Class C License within 18 months.
• Protective Respirator Equipment qualification within 3 months.
• Knowledge of water lab testing processes, SCADA, and DEQ rules/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate SCADA controls and adjust operations for water plants.
• Inspect water plant and equipment to ensure continuous proper operation.
• Collect water samples at various stages and perform lab analyses.
• Maintain records per Oklahoma DEQ and EPA requirements, including chemical usage and flow data.
• Monitor plant pressures, flows, storage levels, and equipment status.
• Perform small maintenance and custodial tasks to keep the plant clean and functional.
