Job summary

You’ll work independently under supervision, maintaining records, promoting safe work practices, and supporting customer service in the field. Residency within 20 miles is required after hiring.

Qualifications

• Ability to install, maintain, test, and repair water meters and metering components.
• Proficient in locating underground utilities using maps, GIS and detection equipment.
• Collect and transmit meter readings accurately and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and replace water meters and meter-reading components.
• Perform field locates of underground utilities using maps, plans and GIS data.
• Collect and transmit water readings, investigate abnormal readings.
• Handle field tasks like turning water on/off, addressing customer complaints, and delivering notices.
• Maintain inventory and records for metering systems.
