Job summary

TYLin seeks a Field or Construction Inspector for utility infrastructure inspection in Indianapolis. You will verify water service line materials for Lead and Copper Rule compliance and report to the Construction Manager.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and 1–3 years of field inspection experience, with an EIT license preferred. OSHA 10 training is desirable and may be completed within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in water/transportation engineering consulting or utility inspection.
• EIT license for degreed engineers; OSHA 10-hour preferred or obtainable within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water service line materials to verify presence of lead.
• Communicate with Contractor, Utility, Design Team, and Public regarding project status.
• Review field conditions; anticipate issues and coordinate with Owner and Contractor to resolve conflicts.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Testing Documentation per project requirements.
