Job summary

TYLin seeks a Field or Construction Inspector in Indianapolis to verify water service line materials for Lead and Copper Rule compliance. The inspector reports to the Construction Manager and collaborates with Contractors, Utilities, and the Design Team to address issues and document progress.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with 1–3 years of inspection experience and an EIT license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in water or transportation engineering consulting for municipal, state, or private clients.
• EIT license for Degreed Engineers; OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Awareness Training preferred or must be acquired within 30 days after start date.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water service line materials to verify presence of lead.
• Communicate project status with Contractor, Utility, Design Team, and Public regarding project status and address concerns.
• Review field conditions, anticipate issues, and coordinate with Owner and Contractor when conflicts occur.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Testing Documentation per project requirements.
