Job summary

TYLin, a global infrastructure consulting firm, seeks an entry-level Field or Construction Inspector in Indianapolis to verify water service line materials for Lead and Copper Rule compliance. The role reports to the Construction Manager and involves collaboration with Contractors, Utilities, Design Team and the public.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, interest in water infrastructure, and relevant inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Interest in water/wastewater infrastructure construction inspection.
• Relevant experience in water utility inspection or related education.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water service line materials to verify presence of lead.
• Communicate with Contractor, Utility, Design Team, and Public regarding project status and address any concerns.
• Review conditions in the field, anticipate issues, and coordinate with Owner and Contractor when conflicts occur.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Testing Documentation per project requirements.
