Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an Inspector to provide daily on-site inspections of private development water main extensions in the Indianapolis area. You will monitor contractor compliance, maintain logs, and review discrepancies with the Team Lead.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of construction experience, along with necessary jurisdictional certificates. You will work in Indianapolis, IN and perform daily testing and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
