Job summary

Garver in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in water project design within a professional, in-office environment. You'll work with and be mentored by experienced water professionals, contributing to a range of projects and visiting project sites to understand real-world challenges in our region.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor's in civil, environmental, or biosystems engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (preferred).

Garver’sexperienced Water Team is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to join our team in our Huntsville, AL office. This intern will gain real-world experience in design while working in a fast-paced, professional setting. Join our group of professionals who are working with communities throughout the region and are developing solutions for their water needs.

Internship Description

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience through assisting with a wide array of water projects.
• Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit some of Garver’s Water project sites.

Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
