Job summary

Garver’s Water Team in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to gain hands-on design experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be mentored by experienced water professionals and work on a variety of water projects, including site visits to Garver project locations.

The internship offers training from water staff and managers, exposure to the competitive consulting engineering industry, and networking opportunities through Garver Launch. Office-based role with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing civil, environmental, or biosystems engineering bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Water Engineering Intern

Garver’s experienced Water Team is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to join our team in our Charlotte, NC office. This intern will gain real-world experience in design while working in a fast-paced, professional setting. Join our group of professionals who are working with communities throughout the region and are developing solutions for their water needs.

Internship Description:

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience through assisting with a wide array of water projects.
• Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit some of Garver’s Water project sites.

• Engage daily with fellow Garver Launch interns and industry professionals to build your network.
• Participate in Garver's acclaimed wellness program, empowering you to prioritize your overall well-being.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
