Job summary

Garver invites you to join the Water team in Tyler, Texas as a Water Engineering Intern. You will work under experienced professionals, gaining hands-on design experience for regional water projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.

You will receive on-the-job training, participate in Garver Launch activities, and have opportunities to visit project sites while developing essential environmental and civil engineering skills for a successful career in water resources.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a civil, environmental, or biosystems engineering bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

This intern will gain real-world experience in design while working in a fast-paced, professional setting.Join our group of professionalswhoare working with communities throughoutthe region and are developing solutions for their water needs.

Internship Description:

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced water professionals and industry leaders.
• Gain real-world environmental and civil engineering experience through assisting with a wide array of water projects.
• Receive training from our experienced water staff and project managers.
• Gain experience in the competitive consulting engineering industry.
• Visit some of Garver’s Water project sites.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a civil, environmental, or biological/biosystems engineering bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited program.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
