Job summary

The City of Renton is seeking a skilled Maintenance Services Worker 2 or 3 for the Water Distribution section of the Public Works Department. This advanced role involves technical, physically demanding duties supporting construction, maintenance, and repair of the City’s water distribution systems, working both independently and as part of a team.

Essentials include operating a range of equipment, maintaining meters and pipes, and responding to customer inquiries; Worker 3 requires CDL Class A

Qualifications

• One year construction maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flagging certificate within six months of employment.
• First aid and CPR certificates within six months.
• Fork lift card within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance and pest control duties.
• Assist in excavation and ditches, load/unload materials.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Operate heavy and light equipment and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safety and accuracy.
