Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is hiring a Distribution Technician in Massillon, OH to support water distribution systems.

You will operate and maintain mains, hydrants, valves, service lines, read maps and schematics, and perform field service and meter reading while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a CDL-A and OEPA Class I Distribution License per bargaining terms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license needed.
• CDL-A or ability to obtain per bargaining terms.
• OEPA Class I Distribution License or obtain per agreement.
• Competent person certification per Bargaining Unit agreement.
• May require tests to verify qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates water distribution equipment and facilities.
• Reads maps, drawings, and schematics including GIS data.
• Performs field service, meter reading, and customer interactions.
• Ensures compliance with OEPA/PUCO requirements and safety policies.
• Updates system documentation and closes work orders.
• Assists with on-call rotations and overtime as needed.
