Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Water Department's Capital Delivery Division seeks an Engineering Technician I to support the in-house design group. You will transform survey data into designs and assist with drawings, specs, and cost estimates for water and wastewater projects you help implement for the Fort Worth community.

The role requires interpreting plans and maps, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with engineers while engaging with residents, contractors, and consultants as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Valid Class C driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Transform survey data into accurate designs and drawings.
• Assist with designs, construction drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Review plans for compliance with City standards.
