Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Construction Inspector I to help ensure the quality and integrity of water and wastewater infrastructure. You will monitor contractor work, maintain daily records, and verify compliance with plans, specs, safety rules, and city standards in the field.

Work on an inspection team to support essential infrastructure projects that deliver reliable water services to Fort Worth residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Class D Water Distribution certification within 1 year.
• Pass City of Fort Worth HPE and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction projects and maintain daily records, including payment estimates.
• Deliver potable water samples to the lab for testing.
• Coordinate with inspection team across multiple projects.
• Document locations of underground appurtenances with GIS staff.
