Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Engineer I to assist with engineering system design across multiple projects, performing design calculations, interpreting reports, and preparing cost estimates and deliverable drawings.

Under close supervision, you will support engineers and designers, write specifications, research design options, collect data, and participate in meetings to ensure code compliance and timely project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 0-1 year experience is preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is advantageous.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design calculations and prepare deliverable drawings.
• Write/edit specifications and research design options.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and permit documents.
• Participate in meetings to ensure code compliance and progress.
