Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking a summer-seasonal Infrastructure Engineering Intern to join the infrastructure engineering team in Fort Worth, TX. You will engage in hydraulic and water infrastructure projects, CAD/GIS tasks, and field visits to TRWD locations, contributing to project planning and data management.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and applying engineering fundamentals while supporting project managers and engineers in daily activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university majoring in engineering, engineering sciences, or related field.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Solve engineering problems.
• Review project submittals such as drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Assist project managers to perform routine work which involves conventional engineering practices.
• Communicate solutions to others through drawings, emails, or memos.
• Participate in field visits relating to TRWD locations and construction sites.
• Acquire knowledge of standard software applications (Esri GIS software, CAD, etc.).
• Maintain and organize engineering data for use in analyses and reports.
