Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to lead residential and small commercial losses, applying IICRC standards and managing equipment and moisture documentation. The role also involves guiding junior technicians and coordinating field operations on-site.

The incumbent will supervise crews, ensure PPE compliance, and maintain safety while traveling as needed. BELFOR emphasizes quality service and career growth within a national network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proper use of meters and IR camera; knowledge of materials and contents.
• Ability to draw sketches, read floor plans, complete moisture-related logs and drying goals.
• Understand air mover calculations and dehumidification charts; power and circuits.
• Mastery of HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro meters; data recording.
• Experience with Truck mount extraction systems and maintenance.
• Proven experience supervising small crews on losses.
• Eligible to operate a BELFOR vehicle.
• Strong work ethic and English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the Supervisor.
• Direct teams in the correct PPE usage.
• Review daily project requirements; document progress and challenges.
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts, and sketches for projects.
• Inspect vehicle safety and maintenance; keep equipment clean and ready.
• Comply with BELFOR standards to safeguard property.
• Demonstrate customer service knowledge and practices.
• Meet deadlines under time constraints.
• Travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Report time worked and materials used accurately and timely.
• Attend BELFOR operations and required security training.
