Job summary

BELFOR in Maryland is seeking a field technician to support water-damage mitigation efforts. The role involves pumping and extracting water, mold remediation, and operating various specialized equipment under supervision, with nightly or weekend travel possible.

Responsibilities include following safety protocols, inspecting vehicles, and coordinating with a team to install drying and containment systems while protecting client property. Excellent English and a strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to identify consumables, usage and disposal requirements with training.
• Knowledge of pump systems is required.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.
• Demonstrates urgency, professionalism and strong work ethic.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from team leader.
• Follow MSDS protocols for chemical products used in mitigation.
• Inspect vehicle safety and maintenance daily.
• Demonstrate proper use of extraction and drying equipment under supervision.
• Build containment systems using Neg Air and HEPA vacuum equipment.
• Remove vapor barriers, label recoverable cuttings and install air flow systems.
• Ensure proper disposal of debris and protect client property.
• Attend required BELFOR operations and safety trainings.
