Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC seeks a Watch Commander to lead the security and operations watch floor at a Tier-class data center in Spartanburg, SC. You will direct security personnel, manage life-safety and security systems, and act as Incident Commander for events on shift.

Requirements include 7+ years in security operations, ICS/NIMS training, and a degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Travel for TDY assignments and armed licensure are possible.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security operations or related mission-critical field.

Responsibilities

• Hold real-time command of the security and operations watch floor for the duration of the assigned shift.
• Direct and supervise all on-shift security officers, console operators, and response staff.
• Conduct structured, documented shift handovers at the start and end of each watch.
• Develop and implement Incident, Emergency, and SOP Action Plans for the site-wide environment.
• Be available to deploy on a TDY basis to support Executive Protection and security details as needed.
• Meet and maintain all requirements for private armed security licensure in South Carolina.
• Monitor alarms and indicators across security systems, escalating as needed.
• Maintain logs of shift activity in the operations log and incident systems.
• Act as first-line Incident Commander for any security/operational event.
• Execute Crisis Response Framework and SOPs under pressure.
• Activate escalation protocols and notify leadership/external partners timely.
• Coordinate with external agencies during incidents.
• Ensure adherence to access control and audit records.
