Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC2) in Spartanburg, SC, seeks a Watch Commander to lead the security and operations watch floor for a critical data center. You will direct on‑shift personnel, maintain situational awareness, and ensure safe, continuous operation during your shift.

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive experience in security operations or related mission-critical environments.
Experience leading a team in a 24/7 setting (SOC, dispatch, watch floor, or similar).
ICS/NIMS incident command training (NIMS 100/200/700; 300 preferred).
Familiarity with physical security systems: access control, CCTV, intrusion detection.
Experience with PSIM or integrated command platforms.

Responsibilities

Hold real-time command of the security and operations watch floor for the assigned shift.
Direct and supervise all on-shift security officers, console operators, and response staff.
Develop and implement Incident, Emergency, and SOP Action Plans for the site-wide environment.
Coordinate with data centre operations, facilities, and engineering teams to align security and operational activities.
Lead pre- and post-shift briefings and maintain thorough activity logs.
