Job summary

Red Cedar Consultancy seeks a Junior Watch Officer to provide continuous watch, briefing, and analytical support for our Operations Center and Incident Management System in Alexandria, VA.

The role requires 3 years in operations centers or emergency management, a BA/BS, and an active Secret clearance. You will produce reports, maintain RFIs, COP, GIS outputs, and support 24/7 operations with potential nationwide deployment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in operations centers, emergency management, dispatch, or first responder environments.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
• Active Secret Clearance required; ability to deploy nationwide for up to two weeks.
• Must support 24x7x365 operations; schedule may vary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational awareness, produce reports and briefings, manage RFIs, support GIS/COP functions, and operate DHS/FPS systems
• Maintain situational awareness of DHS-related events, incidents, and threats
• Produce incident reports, reporting products, and briefs
• Maintain the RFI database and track RFIs
• Conduct limited analysis on data in response to RFIs
• Produce limited GIS imagery to support reporting products
• Maintain the Common Operating Picture (COP) and blotter
• Update watch turnover/pass-down reports
• Access DHS/FPS data systems up to Secret clearance level
• Additional work as directed by management
