Qualifications

• Six months of general maintenance/work experience.
• Valid Texas Driver License and compliance with City of Houston driving policy (AP 2-2).
• Preference for experience in plant and/or lift station maintenance or the collection system.
• Veterans preference per Executive Order 1-6.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates the water and wastewater utility at various locations.
• Operates valves and hydrants, samples instruments, and performs field analysis of water samples.
• Collects, preserves, ships, and transports samples to the laboratory for analysis.
• Prepares and maintains reports, forms, and records for operations, service calls, maintenance and repairs using a data tracking system.
• Renews utility services to designated areas and may perform other duties as assigned.
