Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Supervisor, Wastewater Recycling/Treatment to lead a four-shift wastewater team in our Louisiana facility. You will supervise, train, and develop hourly staff, contractors, and vendors while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

You will operate wastewater and process water systems, develop training materials for changes, and coordinate with engineering to hand off new or modified systems. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in water treatment, environmental, chemistry or related field with 2 years of supervisory responsibilities in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or Engineering preferred; Associates with 5–7 years in the field.
• Proven strong communication and leadership skills; ability to work across shifts with safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise wastewater treatment associates on four shifts; manage timekeeping, scheduling, goals and discipline.
• Oversee operation of wastewater and process water systems and ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop documentation and training for process changes; support preventive maintenance program.
• Coordinate with Corporate Water Waste Engineering for handoffs of new/modified WWT/UPW systems; qualify work instructions and training.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
