Job summary

First Solar Inc. is seeking a hands-on Operator for Recycling and Wastewater operations in Louisiana.

You will install, qualify, and troubleshoot process equipment to meet safety and efficiency goals, with responsibilities spanning data collection, process control, and routine maintenance. The role requires a safety-first mindset, basic wet chemistry understanding, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year FS technical experience or equivalent
• Experience in industrial/commercial operation or technical setting preferred
• Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred
• Experience with equipment maintenance and process troubleshooting preferred
• Experience in industrial wastewater treatment preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop a complete operational understanding of recycling and water treatment systems and equipment
• Ensure processes run on target per the process plan
• Respond to process control alarms and make corrective adjustments
• Collect data on process control parameters and adjust as needed
• Analyze process data and implement course corrections
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day recycling and water treatment issues
• Perform routine tests and minor maintenance on systems
• Maintain accurate records using databases and spreadsheets
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain clean, orderly work areas
• Operate powered industrial equipment for material handling
