Brunswick County Public Utilities seeks a Wastewater Treatment Operator to operate the West Brunswick Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and perform maintenance on pumps, filters, and related equipment to ensure safe, compliant wastewater treatment. A high school diploma or GED is required; a valid NC or SC driver’s license is also needed.

NC Biological Certification is preferred, with trainee certification supported during probation.

Qualifications

• NC Biological Certification preferred.
• Trainee level may require certification within probationary period.

Responsabilités

• Operate the West Brunswick Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant daily and perform maintenance on pumps, filters, and related equipment to ensure safe, compliant wastewater treatment.
• Maintain and repair wastewater treatment equipment and monitor plant performance.
• Calculate chemical feed dosages and read charts, graphs, gauges, and meters to ensure proper wastewater treatment and disposal.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and exercise independent judgment as required.

Formation

High school diploma (or GED)

NC Biological Certification (Grade I-IV) preferred

NC Grade I Biological Certification required within probationary period for Trainee
