Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Waco, TX is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Technician to operate all equipment, perform monitoring, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

You will calibrate probes, document checks, oversee sampling, and coordinate with contractors; prior experience with water treatment systems is valued.

This on-site role requires strict adherence to SPCC, RCRA and ITAR regulations and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must have meticulous recordkeeping skills.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and perform required duties, and be familiar with safety and environmental procedures.
• Perform quantitative metal analysis for Zinc and Copper, document as required.
• Know response procedures for deviations and upsets.
• Assist with sampling from the City of Waco or other entities and perform internal sampling per AFS guidelines.
• Maintain Water Treatment System, Filter Presses and Sludge Dryer operations and documentation.
• Calibrate/clean pH probes and document.
• Document scrubber checks in WWTS and other department areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Lamella as needed.
• Follow labeling requirements for Plating Waste and comply with related permits.
• Keep work area clean and orderly and wear safety equipment as required.
