Job summary

Teasdale Latin Foods in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Wastewater Technician to monitor discharges, maintain water treatment systems, and ensure compliance with pH and conductivity standards. You will read instruments, adjust pumps, and document data while upholding safety practices.

The role requires hands-on lab experience, ability to work independently, and proactive equipment calibration and housekeeping. Forklift operation is part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Experience handling lab instruments (pH meters, scales, etc.).
• At least two years of full-time work in a lab or wastewater treatment field, hazardous waste management, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, written communication, and present information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hourly and daily wastewater discharges within specifications (pH, EC, etc.).
• Maintain materials and supplies for Water/Waste Treatment areas.
• Oversee wastewater discharge system operations and calibrations.
• Ensure water quality monitoring equipment is calibrated and functional.
• Conduct and document environmental inspections as required.
• Demonstrate safe work behavior at all times.
• Read and follow operating instructions and record data.
• Use required safety equipment.
• Exhibit leadership and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Read and adjust instruments, valves, and pumps.
• Transport drums with appropriate equipment and operate forklift.
• Operate various pumps (centrifugal, PD, AOD, gear).
• Perform general housekeeping and area organization.
