Job summary

The US Wire Group seeks a dedicated wastewater treatment operator to manage the treatment process, monitor filtration, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The role supports safe and compliant discharge to sewer systems and requires basic chemistry knowledge and math skills.

You will operate pumps, monitor treatment tanks, and perform routine maintenance while upholding safety standards and teamwork in a union environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required or better.
• 1–2 years’ wastewater treatment experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply environmental laws related to wastewater.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and pumps to control water flow in treatment facility.
• Mix chemicals and manage filtration and clarification processes.
• Test water samples for pH and impurities and adjust as needed.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine cleanups and filter changes.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and safety rules.
