Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies in Lena, WI is seeking a Wastewater Technician to monitor and control plant systems, collect samples, and ensure compliant treatment of industrial wastewater. You will work primarily on 12-hour night shifts, performing routine maintenance and data reporting while coordinating with Saputo Cheese and Veolia management.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater entry-level licensing or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of the Saputo Cheese Wastewater facility, including 12-hour night shifts.
• Operate and control pumps, valves, and motors to regulate water flow; collect and test wastewater samples.
• Analyze lab data to identify treatment issues and implement changes to prevent non-compliance.
• Coordinate with Saputo Cheese and Veolia management for equipment maintenance and optimal treatment methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with minor repairs to pumps, valves, and piping.
• Compile data for daily/weekly/monthly reports for Veolia and Saputo Cheese; assist with EPA/regulatory reporting.
