Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to monitor and control plant systems, ensuring safe and compliant discharge. You will operate pumps, motors, and valves, collect samples, and test water quality to maintain optimal treatment processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalents.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to make process changes based on lab data and general process knowledge.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders up to 30 feet, stand for long periods, walk on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the Wastewater facility across all scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour night shifts).
• Operate and control pumps, motors, and valves to regulate water flow and test samples to determine concentration levels.
• Analyze lab data to identify issues and implement changes to prevent non-compliance; maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with maintenance and Veolia management to ensure equipment uptime and optimal treatment methods.
• Complete preventative maintenance and assist with minor maintenance projects, including pump and valve work.
• Compile data for daily/weekly/monthly reports for Veolia and facility management; may report to EPA or state bodies.
