Job summary

Veolia in Lena, WI is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator to control the facility systems and equipment for purified industrial discharge. You will operate pumps, collect samples, analyze lab data, and maintain records to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal treatment.

Responsibilities include shift coverage, maintenance tasks, data reporting, and coordination with partners. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to adjust processes based on lab data and process knowledge.
• Willingness to learn Wastewater treatment processes.
• Independent decision-making for common problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the Solar Technologies Wastewater facility across shifts (primarily 12-hour night shifts).
• Operate motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow; collect and test samples to determine concentrations.
• Analyze lab data to identify issues and implement changes to prevent non-compliance; keep records.
• Coordinate with operators, Veolia and Solar Technologies management to maintain equipment and optimize treatment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with minor maintenance tasks like pump repair and valve replacement.
• Prepare data for daily/weekly/monthly reports for Veolia and Solar Technologies; may assist EPA/state bodies.
• Work with Veolia purchasing and Solar Technologies for supplies and third-party maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
