Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician for Lena, WI, to control the Solar Technologies Wastewater facility and ensure clean, compliant discharge. You’ll monitor pumps, valves, and lab data, perform routine maintenance, and keep accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater entry-level licensing or certification preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in variable weather.
• Strong reading and writing skills; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the Solar Technologies Wastewater facility across shifts (primarily 12-hour night shifts).
• Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow; collect and test wastewater samples.
• Analyze lab data to identify issues and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance; maintain records.
• Coordinate with operators, Solar Technologies, and Veolia management to maintain equipment and determine treatment methods.
• Complete preventative maintenance and assist with minor maintenance projects including chemical pump repair, valve replacement, and piping installation.
• Compile data for daily, weekly, or monthly operating reports for Veolia, Solar Technologies, and EPA/state bodies as needed.
• Coordinate with Veolia purchasing and Solar Technologies for supplies and third-party maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
