Job summary

The Town of Crested Butte is seeking a wastewater maintenance technician to assist in operating and maintaining the wastewater plant and collection system. The role includes handling solids and compost processes, sampling, data analysis, and reporting results.

Responsibilities include emergency repairs within one hour, on-call 24/7 shifts, snow removal at the facility, and assisting with town public works tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience operating and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation and maintenance of wastewater plant and collection system.
• General maintenance and repair of the wastewater treatment facility.
• Respond to and provide for emergency repairs within one hour.
• Operate the solids handling process.
• Operate the compost process.
• Measure and record information on system/plant performance.
• Collect samples and perform laboratory tests and analyze data.
• Assist with inspection and maintenance of lift stations; record data and analyze.
