Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Water/wastewater operator certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Experience in a water treatment environment.
• Ability to read, write, compile and analyze data daily.
• Able to work weekends, overtime and be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water distribution and water/wastewater treatment systems.
• Maintains pump stations and related equipment.
• Performs sample collection, preparation and lab testing.
• Maintains records, data entry and detailed reporting.
• Ensures work completes on time and complies with safety regulations.
• Analyzes pump equipment, troubleshoots, and monitors plant operation.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintains facility grounds and performs landscape tasks.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
