Pierce County is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to cover all areas of the county's wastewater infrastructure. You will operate and maintain SCADA networks, HMI programs, and PLCs across CCRWWTP, Cascadia plant, 100+ pump stations, and related instrumentation.

The role requires strong instrumentation knowledge, problem solving, and teamwork to support critical facilities. You will access professional development and have opportunities for career growth within Pierce County’s PPW

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience may substitute for formal training.
• Four years' experience in maintenance and repair of electronic measurement devices and systems.
• High School diploma plus graduation from a two-year vocational/technical school with electronic emphasis.
• A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and improve instrumentation systems and modify equipment for optimum operation.
• Perform adjustments and calibrations using standards, meters and calibration equipment.
• Install new equipment and wire units per electrical codes and diagrams.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and implement PM programs.
• Use meters, calibrators, oscilloscopes and other measuring devices.
• Maintain and repair plant computer systems.
• Lead, train, and instruct other employees as required.
• Maintain, modify, and repair radio and telephone telemetry systems.
