Job summary

Pima County is seeking an Instrumentation Process Control Coordinator I to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems at wastewater facilities. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and flow meters, while developing preventive maintenance programs and documenting activities.

A valid driver license is required for field work. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with engineers, operators, and technicians to support system

Qualifications

• Associate degree with two years of experience in installation, calibration and maintenance of field instrumentation and/or process control loops.
• Experience with/knowledge of PLC operation, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Reading panel drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID drawings is preferred but must be documented in application.

Responsibilities

• Installs, calibrates, maintains, and repairs electronic instruments, sensors, flow meters, pressure transducers, and other field devices.
• Maintains and troubleshoots PLCs, HMIs, and automated process control systems to ensure seamless operation.
• Develops and executes preventative and predictive maintenance programs for process control equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintains detailed records of maintenance activities, configurations, and system modifications.
