Anne Arundel County – Public Works Department is seeking a professional to direct wastewater administration programs within the Bureau of Utility Operations. The ideal candidate holds a four-year degree in engineering or environmental science with 4+ years in wastewater operations and program management.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with 4+ years in Engineering and Program Management in Water/Wastewater Operations.
Experience may substitute up to 8 years for education per policy.
Preference for degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field; 5+ years in wastewater programs.

Responsibilities

Directs and manages Wastewater Administration programs in the Bureau of Utility Operations.
Oversees MAR, Bio-solids facility, SPS upgrades, septage receiving, nutrient tracking, grant management.
Liaises with state/federal agencies and ensures regulatory compliance.
Supervises nine staff and an office support assistant.
Prepares routine and special reports on nutrients and metrics.
